Affordable Care Act (ACA)? : What's Next?

New Dental Office Posting Requirement
Posted on 9/30/2016 by Cory Roletto, WEO Media Partner/Owner
Affordable Care Act New Dental Rules - Comic Strip depicts new legislative rules coming On October 16, 2016 dental offices that have federal assisted dental patients (Medicare or CHIP) are required to display notifications in the office, on website, and on marketing materials. These requirements come on the heels of a final ruling from The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) on Section 1557 of the ACA. For dental offices, notifications need to be posted in the top 15 non-English languages in your state and include local contact information to request translations services for Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has created a reference document listing the top 15 languages by state. They have also provided sample translations of “tag lines” and “notifications” to help offices meet the posting requirements.

Implementing the 15 language requirement with a small footprint on a website can prove difficult. Fortunately, for offices that have a WEO Media built website, we have completed a low profile implementation that meets the 15 language minimum requirement. To implement the notifications on your website contact support@weomedia.com.

NOTE: Please be prepared to provide the government approved local contact information for translation services for your office.
