Dental Branding - 5 Essential Website Design Elements

You've done a lot of work over the last month to establish your brand, determine your story, and then build your marketing assets to reflect those things. But now it's time to tackle one of the largest marketing projects on your plate - your website. This can be a daunting task and can quickly become overwhelming.

There's good news though! The essential elements of successful dental websites are quite simple.

Contact information


This information should be featured prominently across all pages on your site and will ideally reside in the header. It should be the first thing your site visitors see and you don't want them to have to search to find it. The goal, after all, is to have them contact your office and convert to new patients.



Easy Navigation


Perhaps the most important piece of your site but often overlooked is the navigation. Ideally your site will have a clear navigation element that is easy to use and provides clear direction. Have navigation always visible, use color to bring attention to the main navigation, and make sure the titles are clear so visitors know exactly where to go to find what they need.



Calls to action


These are actions you want someone to take on your site and can range from "fill out online forms", "contact our office", or "book an appointment". These calls-to-action give direction and provide clear instructions for next steps. These can help keep people on your site and further engaged with your office.



Footer


The footer is more important than you might think! It should contain repeated contact information and your logo. Having your contact information anchor your site keeps your site visitors from needing to scroll to contact you.



Branding

It's essential though to make sure your photos, colors, and logo all adhere to your overall brand story. Remember that your website is often the first impression a patient has of your practice. You only get one chance at a first impression so make sure it's a good one!
